Auto-design agent for an RF coplanar-waveguide electrode (TFLT/TFLN MZM driver, Tidy3D RF / TerminalComponentModeler).

  • Joint FOM over microwave loss α₀, characteristic impedance Z₀ (→ 50 Ω), and RF index n_eff (→ 2.20)
  • Iter-1 baseline (plain T-rail CPW): FOM −1.21, α₀ 0.66 dB/cm/√GHz, Z₀ 39.5 Ω, n_eff 2.02 at 40 GHz
  • tools/ harness: journal, dashboard, evolution GIFs
  • simulate.py self-manages bookkeeping (no orchestrate.py)

Auto-design agent for an RF coplanar-waveguide electrode driving a
TFLT/TFLN Mach-Zehnder modulator. Uses Tidy3D RF / TerminalComponentModeler
to extract S-parameters at two wave ports, derive transmission-line
parameters, and jointly drive microwave loss α₀, characteristic impedance
toward 50 Ω, and RF effective index toward 2.20.

design.py ships with the plain T-rail CPW baseline that reproduces
FOM ≈ −1.21 (α₀ ≈ 0.66 dB/cm/√GHz, Z₀ ≈ 39.5 Ω, n_eff ≈ 2.02 at 40 GHz).

Adds tools/ harness for journal/dashboard/evolution-gif management.
simulate.py self-manages bookkeeping so no separate orchestrate.py.

See README.md for the full design knobs and iter-1 baseline metrics.
