JEI Stage Entries — Registers game stages as JEI "fake items", searchable by stage name or stage id; press
Uon one to see its page. The icon reuses FTBQ's gamestage icon (ftblib:textures/icons/controller.png), and the page shows whether the player already has the stage. Requires FTBLib and GameStages; the feature is disabled if either is missing.Register the stages to show from a CraftTweaker script (GameStages has no global stage list, so the pack author declares them; the
importis optional — if you use one, import the Zen namemods.random_additions.GameStage, not the Java class name):mods.random_additions.GameStage.register("bronze_age"); mods.random_additions.GameStage.registerAll(["age_iron", "age_gold"]);
Blank or whitespace-only stage ids are ignored, so names built at runtime are safe to pass through.
Display name and "how to obtain" text are keyed by stage name and can live either in a language file or directly in the script (
game.setLocalizationwrites to the same table):game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.bronze_age.name", "Bronze Age"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.bronze_age.tip", "Smelt your first copper ingot"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.bronze_age.tip.1", "Then craft a copper pickaxe");
random_additions.game_stage.bronze_age.name=Bronze Age random_additions.game_stage.bronze_age.tip=Smelt your first copper ingot random_additions.game_stage.bronze_age.tip.1=Then craft a copper pickaxe
Two arguments apply to every language, while three arguments (lang, key, text) are only written when that language is active, so one stage can be named differently per language:
game.setLocalization("en_us", "random_additions.game_stage.age_iron.name", "Iron Age"); game.setLocalization("zh_cn", "random_additions.game_stage.age_iron.name", "铁器时代"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.age_iron.tip", "Mine your first iron ore"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.age_iron.tip.1", "Remember to smelt it first");
Up to four wrapped lines fit on the page, longer text is truncated with "..." and shown in full when hovering it, and §-colour codes work anywhere in the lines:
mods.random_additions.GameStage.register("nether_age"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.nether_age.name", "Nether Age"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.nether_age.tip", "§7Build and light a nether portal"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.nether_age.tip.1", "§7Find a fortress and get blaze rods"); game.setLocalization("random_additions.game_stage.nether_age.tip.2", "§7Trade with villagers back in the overworld");
A stage without any localization key still works, the entry is simply named after its id, and if no tip exists either the page prints the exact key you have to add:
mods.random_additions.GameStage.register("diamond_age");
Without
.namethe stage id is used as the display name (so searching the id works too)..tipis the first line and.tip.1,.tip.2, … are continuation lines, stopping at the first missing number; if nothing is defined the page tells you which key to add. Registration and JEI pushes are logged ([GameStage] ...) to make troubleshooting easy.A fully commented example script lives in
scripts/example_script.zs— copy it into your pack'sscripts/folder and edit the stage names.
You can freely add it to your modpack,as long as you indicate the source
