Opt-in OpenTelemetry over OTLP/HTTP protobuf (blocking reqwest) so MCP tool latency and Tantivy/SQLite search spans reach OpenObserve without a Collector; includes unit/integration tests and e2e compose.

Synopsis
Operators could not see MCP tool and search latency in OpenObserve. The Web UI also had no path for unauthenticated ACL browsing, markdown diagrams did not render, and
tb wclacked POSIX glob/recursive flags.Solution
