Summary

  • Under a combined metric, a composition's bound caps every term after the first at the event bonus its members and Snaps can reach under that term, in place of the term's largest bonus of any team. Searches that rank by challenge points or score first, with event points or items as later terms, close their proof with far fewer nodes.
  • When a combined metric's first level reads no event bonus, member and Snap pairs are ordered by power first, so a strong incumbent arrives earlier.

The traversed domain and the results are unchanged; only the bounds tighten and the visiting order changes.

Refs #56

Tests

  • Unit tests for the per-term envelope: a fixed composition's cap, and merge / sum / top-slot accumulation of the other terms.
  • cargo test --workspace

A composition's bound under a combined metric now caps every term after the
first at the event bonus its members and Snaps can reach under that term,
instead of the term's largest bonus of any team. Searches that rank teams by
challenge points or score first, with event points or items as later terms,
prove their optimum with far fewer nodes.

The joint search also opens leaders best-first by the bound of their subtree,
and when a combined metric's first level reads no event bonus it orders member
and Snap pairs by power first, so a strong incumbent arrives earlier. The
traversed domain and the results are unchanged.

The search reads every bound through mean_payoff_with; the plain form
remains for the tests and the diagnostics build.

Opening leaders best-first by their subtree bound visits no fewer nodes
than the member order on combined metrics, so the joint search keeps the
member order.
