Closing, as this was initially added in an attempt to figure out ember support for the sort-imports prettier plugin. But a simpler, alternate implementation seems feasible via: trivago/prettier-plugin-sort-imports#377 |

We still might want to consider following prettier's prescribed API though. Although, we probably want a full rethink. |
