Summary

Documents cross-project search (CPS) for Synthetics on Elastic Cloud Serverless. Linked-project monitors appear as read-only in the Synthetics UI after you link projects. Defers to the core CPS pages for the header selector and shared concepts.

CPS serverless: preview → GA tagging is out of scope.

I put Synthetics availability, the Observability CPS page, and the origin-only status and TLS rule limitation in #8004 because I am making changes to those same lines and want to avoid conflicts if possible. This PR is the Synthetics UI only.

Fixes #8098

Changes

  • Analyze data: How linked-project monitors show up in the Synthetics UI. Moved CCS down because not everyone reading this page will care about CCS/CPS
  • Manage monitors: Specified that management views do not include monitors from linked projects, points to linked project for synthetics management
  • Configure Synthetics settings: Serverless note on Remote clusters (no explicit config from this page)
  • Scale and architect: How to include monitor data from linked projects.

I don't know enough about synthetics to do more than a cursory check. Since @mdbirnstiehl has more knowledge in this area, it might be worth getting a review from him as well.
