This PR was written by Claude AI, both the code and this description.

Summary

  • Quick launch overflow functionality
  • Dragging an icon onto the chevron sends it into the overflow flyout
  • Overflowed icons can be brought back onto the visible bar via a new right-click option, "Show on Quick Launch."
  • Added a "Reset width" button that returns Quick Launch to the current theme's default width
  • Quick Launch icons now wrap across however many rows the taskbar is set to before overflowing into the chevron, instead of only ever using a single row

Known limitation

Dragging an icon out of the open overflow flyout isn't supported - use the right-click "Show on Quick Launch" option on that icon instead.

Im sorry, this is not a bot account, I was extremely tired and just wanted to finish the page. But I asked claude, looked through a Windows XP VM and stuff and tried to ensure compatibility through themes, and with future updates

Hi! This seems to be basically reinventing WPF ToolBarTray/ToolBar, any reason you didn't use those controls as a base?
