Summary

  • Adds five posts: OLTP vs OLAP (/learn) and best data pipeline tools, best data management platforms, Postgres vs MySQL and best data quality tools (/compare).
  • Dates the 11 posts already live in /compare and /learn from 28 September, unique within each section.
  • Hides the author on list cards.
  • Adds rel="nofollow" to external links in /compare and /learn posts.

Changes

Commit What
date the live posts A date: line in the front matter of the 9 /compare and 2 /learn posts already live. File names, slugs and URLs do not change.
hide the author on list cards PostCard takes a showAuthor prop (default true); the list grid turns it off. Post pages and related-post cards still show the author.
add five posts The posts, their images, quiz data, social cards and manifest lines.
external links A small rehype plugin adds rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" to external links in the compare and learn sections. olake.io, datazip.io and the github.com/datazip-inc organisation stay normal links; /blog and customer stories are not touched.
link count Each new post has at most ten external links.

Notes

  • The 11 live posts show a new date on their pages. URLs are unchanged. The content lint prints a date-mismatch warning for those files (front matter date vs file name); it is a warning only.
  • scripts/og-images.manifest.json also changes in the second PR of this batch; whichever merges second needs a trivial merge of that file.
  • Removed features: none.

Verification

  • Full production build: no broken link or anchor warnings. npm run lint:content: 0 errors on the new posts.
  • 360 px and 1280 px: no horizontal overflow; axe (WCAG 2 A and AA) in light and dark: 0 violations.
  • Sitemap compared with the live one: nothing missing; the only new URLs are the five posts.
  • Built pages: external links in the new posts carry nofollow; list cards show no author name.

Adds a date line to the front matter of the nine /compare posts and two /learn posts already live, so each section lists its posts on unique days starting 28 September (the same day may appear once in each section). File names, slugs and URLs do not change. The content lint warns that the front matter date differs from the file name date for these files; it is a warning only.
Every post currently lists the same author, so the byline on each card in /blog, /learn, /compare and the tag, archive and author lists adds noise. PostCard takes a showAuthor prop (default true) and the list grid turns it off. Post pages and the related-post cards at the end of a post still show the author.
Adds OLTP vs OLAP (/learn), best data pipeline tools, best data management platforms, Postgres vs MySQL and best data quality tools (/compare), each with its images, quiz data and social card.

… posts

The comparison and explainer posts link out to vendor pages as sources. A small rehype plugin adds rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" to every external link in those two sections, so the links stay as sources for readers but are not passed on as endorsements. olake.io, datazip.io and the github.com/datazip-inc organisation are left as normal links; internal links and the /blog and customer-stories sections are not touched.
Cuts each of the five new posts to at most ten external links, all to different pages: the pricing pages and the pages behind hard limits. The other sources stay named in the text without a link. User quotes that could not keep a link are removed.
Names the repository behind each licence claim and rewords the dbt line to what the docs say.

Resolves the og-images manifest conflict with datazip-inc#586: every cover entry is kept.
The nofollow rehype plugin and its docusaurus.config.js wiring are identical
on both sides and merge without changes.

Conflict with #586 is resolved (merge commit 542b37a, manifest keeps every entry, build and typecheck clean). Three content points before merge, two of them also touch posts already on master from #586 and earlier, so please fix those in this PR too.

1. Stale /docs/connectors/overview/ links. That page was removed from the sidebar; it is an old logo table with no SQL Server or Db2, no sync modes, Kafka "WIP", S3 "check issue". Please re-point every one of these to /docs/ (sources and sync-mode table) or the specific connector page:

  • compare/2026-10-08-best-data-management-platforms.mdx:170, :176 (this PR, inline below)
  • compare/2026-10-13-best-data-replication-tools.mdx:92, :276, :285, :293, :564
  • compare/2026-10-12-azure-etl-tools.mdx:256
  • compare/2026-10-11-best-change-data-capture-tools.mdx:178
  • compare/2026-10-08-aws-etl-tools.mdx:249
  • compare/2026-10-04-data-migration-tools.mdx:258 and src/data/quizzes/data-migration-tools.json:269

(Four older blog posts link it too; optional, separate PR is fine.)

2. Unsourced negative claims about competitors. Each needs a link on the same line, or softer wording:

  • compare/2026-10-12-azure-etl-tools.mdx:129 "runs SSIS packages, which Fabric doesn't offer yet"
  • compare/2026-10-12-azure-etl-tools.mdx:479 "only ADF, Fivetran and OLake Go document Iceberg on ADLS" (an exclusivity claim)
  • src/data/quizzes/best-change-data-capture-tools.json:164 "DMS has no Iceberg target" (the post links the DMS target list at line 22; the quiz line does not)
  • compare/2026-10-13-best-data-replication-tools.mdx:500 "DMS has no conflict rules" (sourced at line 322, not here)

3. Three posts never mention OLake: compare/2026-10-10-best-data-quality-tools.mdx (this PR), compare/2026-10-14-best-reverse-etl-tools.mdx and learn/2026-10-01-data-migration-strategy.mdx (from #586). Each should at least say where OLake fits, or does not fit, in the workflow it describes, otherwise we are publishing a vendor-neutral listicle on our own domain.

Smaller, from the same pass: best-data-replication-tools.mdx:283 cites the catalogs page for "deletion vectors since v0.11.0", the right source is the v0.11.0 release note; three posts say a new source column is "added automatically", the docs say only with "Sync new columns automatically" on.

*OLake home page, October 2026.*

**At a glance:** open-source database replication under [Apache 2.0](https://github.com/datazip-inc/olake). It copies Postgres, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB and SQL Server with a full load and then change capture ([connector docs](/docs/connectors/overview/)), and writes Apache Iceberg or Parquet.

Please re-point this link. /docs/connectors/overview/ is a stale page we removed from the sidebar: it is a logo table with no SQL Server or Db2, no sync modes, Kafka marked "WIP" and S3 "check issue". A reader who clicks through sees OLake looking weaker than the sentence says. Link the sources/sync-mode table on /docs/ or the specific connector pages (/docs/connectors/postgres/, /docs/connectors/mssql/, ...) instead.

**What's good**

- The connector docs list full refresh, full refresh plus CDC, CDC only and full refresh plus incremental sync modes, so one tool does the first load and then the change capture ([docs](/docs/connectors/overview/)).

Same page: this line says the connector docs list the four sync modes, and the linked page lists none. Point it at /docs/ where that table lives.

No OLake mention anywhere in this post. Please add where OLake fits (or does not) in a data-quality workflow, e.g. the replication step that feeds the tables these tools test. Same for the reverse-ETL and data-migration-strategy posts from #586.
