I'm a Data & AI Engineer based in Montreal 🇨🇦.
I took a slightly unusual path: I spent about ten years in full-stack development (mostly Go and PHP) before diving into data. This background means I'm usually the one who cares about the "thankless parts" of the job: what breaks at 3 AM, how maintainable the code will be for the next person, and making sure AI systems actually work for real in production, not just in a pristine notebook.
- Soufflé: My current main project! It's a private, on-device speech-to-text app for macOS that never leaves your Mac. It features live transcriptions, speaker separation, local LLM summaries, and dictation anywhere. Built with Rust (Tauri 2) and Svelte 5.
- The Modern Data Stack: Lots of Snowflake, dbt, and Python.
