pyLoad is a lightweight Python download manager: one-click hosters, container files (DLC, RSDF, CCF), direct links, premium accounts, captcha solving and a plugin system. Complements the existing jdownloader script.
Log in at http://:8000 with pyload/pyload and change the password immediately.
pyLoad binds its web interface to localhost by default. The installer rewrites the webui host in /opt/pyload_data/userdir/settings/pyload.cfg to 0.0.0.0 so the container is reachable by IP - do not set it back to localhost unless you only access it through a reverse proxy on the same host.
Downloads go to /opt/pyload_data/downloads and the configuration lives in /opt/pyload_data/userdir. Both are outside the app directory so they survive updates.
pyLoad is still in pre-release; the installer uses the pyload-ng pre-release channel because no stable release exists yet.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
As I posted on discord, I created a user in the LXC. My goal was to start pyload with a user witch is mapped on an external mount point, so my downloads are located on this mount point with necessary permissions. On the Pyload webUI I went to settings / General / permissions and I put "Change user of running process" to "On" and modified the Username of ownership so pyload would be executed with this username. I then saved and restarted the container. Pyload is running with the user I chose in the WebUI but the WebUI shows Error 500. In the logs, a lot of permission denied in the /tmp/pyload/jinja directory. And so I can't no more change anything or use pyload.
To do what I want I have also the option to set on the WebUI the change of permissions of downloaded files, letting Pyload starting as root.
So on the pyload LXC page, I think you can eventually put a warning to potential users, to prevent them from changing the user Pyload is running in the container because this prevents the WebUI to work.
Permission change and ownership on downloaded files is working fine.
I found another small issue: actually download dir can't be changed in the WebUI.
When restarting pyload, it's the defaukt one of the LXC container witch stays configured.
It's probably because this is hardcoded in the pyload.service used by systemd to start the pyload daemon.
Removing the --storagedir option let changing directory in the WebUI.
As this is a configuration options is stocked in the pyload.cfg file, it survives updates of the container, so I think it's not necessary to put the --storagedir option in the pyload.service.
Last small issue. Form the WebUI, the blue button restart pyload doesn't actually workin: ptload sops but doesn't restart.
I don't know if it's a container issue or just a pyload one.

The pyLoad script is ready for testing:
Default credentials:
Username: pyload
Password: pyload
Log in at http://:8000 with pyload/pyload and change the password immediately.

Many thanks for adding this LXC.

I hope this can help other testers / users.
