📋 Script Details

Creates a Talos Linux Kubernetes cluster as Proxmox VE virtual machines.

Target file:

vm/talos-linux-cluster-vm.sh

This is a VM script, not a CT script. It creates one Talos control-plane VM and a configurable number of Talos worker VMs.

The script follows the Talos Proxmox installation flow:

1. Download/upload the Talos metal ISO to Proxmox ISO storage
2. Create the Proxmox VMs
3. Start the control-plane node
4. Generate Talos machine configurations
5. Apply the control-plane configuration
6. Apply worker node configurations
7. Bootstrap the Kubernetes cluster and retrieve kubeconfig

The VM settings follow the Talos Proxmox recommendations:

• OVMF / UEFI
• q35 machine type
• CPU type host
• VirtIO SCSI, not VirtIO SCSI Single
• VirtIO networking
• 4 MB EFI disk
• memory ballooning disabled
• serial console enabled
• optional VirtIO RNG

The script uses the standard Talos metal ISO path, not cloud-init or NoCloud. Users should use DHCP reservations for the node IPs, or manually boot Talos with static IP settings before applying configs.
