The frigate script is ready for testing: bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/ct/frigate.sh)"
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
I installed it on PVE 9.1.4, unprivileged and with a Coral and GPU passthrough. Made no modifications to the LXC config.
Installs fine and everything appears to work (as far as I can see now)
Installation was working in both privileged and unprivileged mode with Intel GPU and Coral in Proxmox 8.4.16. Frigate started up using GPU hw acceleration. But after I have changed detector from default example config openvino to
detectors:
coral:
type: edgetpu
device: usb
I have commented out also the model settings to use default for EdgeTPU.
But I'm getting error during startup now:

My Coral usb is repoted in PVE as Bus 002 Device 002: ID 18d1:9302 Google Inc.
so I tried to edit the lxc.conf by adding lxc.mount.entry: /dev/bus/usb/002 /dev/bus/usb/002 none bind,optional,create=dir 0,0
which was working on my previous Frigate 0.16.1 lxc installation, but it did not help in this case.

Only SemanticSearch isnt added, because that need 8 core and 16-24GB Ram
Patrick010 commentedon Feb 6, 2026
Hadn't tried that yet, not sure if I'm going to be needing it.

how do we install TLS certificates ? it seems it is not using the one at /etc/letsencrypt/live/frigate

@Mati-l33t Storage type does not support 'rootdir'
CerberusStyle commentedon Feb 7, 2026
install and web UI work flawlessly, update function advise to create new container and move config as expected.

My mistake, I can confirm TLS works fine.

After troubleshooting with claude ai, my cpu is too old for openvino, claude suggested to use tteck's script without openvino nonsense.

Ok
Patrick010 commentedon Feb 8, 2026
How old is your CPU then? I have an 8th gen and it works

Its a proliant g7 with 2 x intel x5650, getting old but still works great 😊
