Complete the web-based setup at http://IP/install.php
Database credentials are stored in ~/ampache.creds - use only the MySQL username and password from this file
During installation, only check 'Create Tables' - leave 'Create Database' and 'Create Database User' unchecked
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.

installs and web-based setup works flawlessly, update function also seems to work as expected.
have not tested much further than that as not an app i have ever used.
