Bidi scanning in recent versions of Firefox is far faster. We can probably adapt some of it, plus possibly an AltiVec nsBidiUtils. See changes in https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/log/9a92be6b431a/intl/unicharutil/util/nsBidiUtils.cpp
