Improve performance when there are lots of files

The card view becomes very sluggish when lots of cards are loaded in, in Masonry view in particular.

This is most noticeable when resizing pane with a plugin view.

The current state is unacceptable.

Ideally, both Grid and Masonry would perform as well as the vanilla Bases Cards view.

Massively improved Masonry performance in 0.11.0. Further Masonry optimizations, as well as Grid will be worked on.
