Lead Mobile Engineer at Tether, on the Keet team. React Native since 2017, Swift and Kotlin where the framework runs out, peer-to-peer on the Bare runtime. Based in Ukraine, working remotely.
Keet is a peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted messenger by Holepunch. I lead its mobile team: React Native and Expo on top of a P2P core that runs on the device itself, shipped to iOS and Android, 1M+ installs on Google Play.
- react-native-swipeable-actions: native swipeable rows for React Native, built with Expo Modules. Gestures and springs run in Swift and Kotlin, so a busy JavaScript thread does not drop frames. 1.0 release candidate.
- Biome, in Rust: linter plugins batched into a single visitor (#9184), plugin file scoping (#9171), GritQL plugin rewrites with
--write(#9073). - Expo: TIFF support in expo-image-picker on iOS (#39398).
- Bare ecosystem: bare-kit, bare-media, ble-swarm, rocksdb-native and others, as part of the Keet work.
