Existing Solutions

• gRPC-Web: works in the browser but requires a proxy and does not natively support mobile apps via Capacitor.
• Custom WebSocket or REST implementations: require manually handling request/response correlation and streaming, which is error-prone and tedious.
• No existing official or community Capacitor plugin provides a full native gRPC client for both iOS and Android.

Description

This plugin would allow Capacitor apps to communicate directly with gRPC servers from mobile platforms, with the following features:

• Native gRPC connection on iOS and Android.
• Automatic Protobuf message serialization/deserialization.
• Support for unary calls and bidirectional streaming.
• Automatic request/response correlation handling.
• Optional Web support via gRPC-Web for WebViews, with proxy if needed.

Concrete use cases:

• Mobile applications for trading, real-time chat, IoT, or any service requiring typed streaming data.
• Scenarios where low latency and reliability are critical, and where REST/WebSocket alone is insufficient.
