suppress glib macro deprecation warnings and unused parameter

I fixed it for my custom shell, and I think now it will not show those warnings and it will work fine, I think.

By the way since you're making a shell based off ours I will note that at this moment the library doesn't support slide-left and slide-right revealers, but support will come soon.
