https://docs.bugsee.com/sdk/react-native/ returned 404: the React Native pages live under /sdk/react_native/. The other platforms' roots all answer.

  • Redirect the /sdk/react-native root to /sdk/react_native/installation/.
  • createRedirects aliases every /sdk/react_native/* page at /sdk/react-native/*.

Verified with npm run build (onBrokenLinks: 'throw'): build/sdk/react-native/, .../installation/ and .../privacy/overview/ all redirect to the underscore paths.

Not changed: /sdk/capacitor/ and /sdk/harmonyos/ also 404, but the docs have no pages for those platforms.

The React Native pages live under /sdk/react_native/, so the hyphenated
spelling, which the other platform URLs suggest, returned 404.

Review of PR #102: redirect /sdk/react-native to the React Native docs

  • Read the diff against origin/main
  • Checked the redirect config, wrapperSdks, the sidebar and slugs for collisions
  • Ran npm ci && npm run build and checked the output
  • Wrote the summary

I found no bugs or regressions, so there are no inline comments. The build succeeded and I did not modify any files. I did not run the spell check, because the PR has no docs content changes.

Build results

  • build/sdk/react-native/index.html redirects to /sdk/react_native/installation/.
  • build/sdk/react-native/installation/index.html redirects to /sdk/react_native/installation/.
  • Deep pages are aliased under build/sdk/react-native/ (configuration, crashes, custom, manual, network, and so on).
  • Bare privacy path (confirmed gap): build/sdk/react-native/privacy/index.html does not exist. Only privacy/overview/, logs/, network/ and video/ are aliased. So /sdk/react-native/privacy/ still 404s, although /sdk/react_native/privacy/ redirects. Every other platform's bare /privacy path redirects.

What else I checked

  • Root target: /sdk/react_native/installation/ is a real page, so onBrokenLinks stays satisfied.
  • Collisions: nothing else lives at /sdk/react-native/.... The other react-native strings are /ai/agent-skills/sdk/react-native/SKILL.md, which is a different path and is generated.
  • Android branch: the two createRedirects branches use disjoint prefixes, so their order doesn't matter.

Findings

  • P3 Low, docusaurus.config.ts:92: add one more explicit redirect so the bare privacy path doesn't 404. Fix:
    { from: '/sdk/react-native/privacy', to: '/sdk/react_native/privacy/overview/' },
Without it, someone who trims the URL back from /sdk/react-native/privacy/overview/ hits a 404. The PR description only verified .../privacy/overview/, not the bare path.

Minor notes (non-blocking)

  • The plugin emits client-side redirect pages (meta refresh plus JS), not HTTP 301s. That is fine for people. It is weaker for crawlers and for AI agents that fetch the raw .md copies. /sdk/react-native/installation.md will not exist, because copy-raw-markdown.mjs only copies the real doc paths.
  • The new comment above createRedirects is placed after the Android comment and reads as if it belongs to the whole function. That is cosmetic.

Overall risk: Low

Merge recommendation: Approve and merge. The privacy redirect is a small follow-up and could go in this PR.

Most important thing to fix: add the /sdk/react-native/privacy redirect.

Positives

  • It reuses the existing redirect mechanism instead of adding duplicate pages.
  • It keeps the /sdk/react_native/ paths canonical.
  • The PR description says what was left alone (/sdk/capacitor/ and /sdk/harmonyos/) and why.

Review of PR #102 (re-review after the new push): redirect /sdk/react-native to the React Native docs

  • Read the diff against origin/main and the latest commit
  • Checked whether the earlier finding is fixed
  • Ran npm run build and checked the redirect output
  • Wrote the summary

I found no new issues, so there are no inline comments. I did not modify any files. I did not run the spell check, because the PR has no docs content changes.

Earlier finding is fixed. Commit 60b1421 adds { from: '/sdk/react-native/privacy', to: '/sdk/react_native/privacy/overview/' }. That was the P3 gap from my previous review.

Build results on the current head. The build succeeded. The url= target in each generated redirect page:

Path under build/sdk/react-native/ Redirects to
index.html /sdk/react_native/installation/
installation/ /sdk/react_native/installation/
privacy/ /sdk/react_native/privacy/overview/
privacy/overview/ /sdk/react_native/privacy/overview/

Other checks

  • The explicit redirects and the createRedirects aliases do not collide. The build raised no duplicate-redirect errors.
  • The createRedirects branches for Android and React Native use disjoint prefixes, so their order doesn't matter.

Non-blocking notes (unchanged from before)

  • The plugin emits client-side redirect pages (meta refresh plus JS), not HTTP 301s. That is fine for people. It is weaker for crawlers and for agents fetching raw .md copies, because /sdk/react-native/installation.md will not exist.
  • The new comment above createRedirects sits after the Android comment and reads as if it covers the whole function. That is cosmetic.

Overall risk: Low

Merge recommendation: Approve and merge.

Most important issues to fix: None.

Positives

  • It reuses the existing redirect mechanism instead of adding duplicate pages.
  • It keeps the /sdk/react_native/ paths canonical.
  • The follow-up commit closed the bare privacy path quickly.
  • The PR description says what was left alone (/sdk/capacitor/ and /sdk/harmonyos/) and why.
