Adds a caller for the shared review workflow in bugsee/.github (.github/workflows/claude-review.yml), and removes the per-repo claude.yml @claude mention handler where there was one.

Notes:

  • The review is skipped on this PR itself: the action only runs a workflow file that is identical on the default branch. It starts working on PRs opened after this one is merged.
  • Private repos need a repo-level CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN secret, because the org secret is not shared with private repos on the Free plan.
  • Add the deep-review label to a PR to get the review from Opus instead of Sonnet.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Added an automated review workflow for pull requests, which runs when a pull request is opened, updated, reopened, marked ready for review, or labeled.

Adds a Claude PR Review workflow. It runs when a pull request is opened, synchronized, marked ready for review, reopened, or labeled. It calls the reusable workflow at bugsee/.github/.github/workflows/claude-review.yml@main, grants the specified permissions, and passes the CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN repository secret.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Change: Feature

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to 6f85e

Changes to the shared workflow could change how this repository’s review credential is used. Confirm that tracking its main branch is intended before merging.

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to 6f85e

The new automation trusts changes to a shared workflow without requiring a corresponding update in this repository. Only one secret is passed and repository-content writes are not granted, which limits exposure. The shared workflow's credential handling and downstream authority remain unverified.

Retained concerns

  • Low · security · observed: The new caller binds its review credential and permitted write authority to a mutable shared branch. Changes there can change the authority-consuming implementation without a reviewed dependency update in this repository.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — A malicious shared implementation could exercise the caller's effective pull-request/issues write authority and access the mapped credential when supplied. The credential's account scope and any OIDC-trusting services are unknown, so broader tenant, cloud, or organization compromise is not established.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — The retained finding corresponds to a newly introduced path: an actor able to change the shared branch or its effective implementation can influence subsequent authorized executions, potentially exposing the mapped credential or misusing permitted writes. The evidence does not show that an ordinary PR author can obtain that influence or that exploitation has occurred.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — The authority boundary crosses from this repository's caller to the organization-owned shared workflow. Explicit permissions and single-secret mapping constrain the handoff, but neither fixes the receiving implementation to immutable code. OIDC-token issuance permission alone does not establish a cloud-role grant.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Pin the shared workflow to a reviewed commit and update it deliberately. Verify the shared workflow's secret handling and required permissions, removing write or OIDC authority that it does not need.

Pin the reusable workflow to an immutable commit.

The main reference can change the workflow that receives CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN and the caller's token permissions. Use a reviewed full commit SHA instead of @main.
