Adds a caller for the shared review workflow in bugsee/.github (.github/workflows/claude-review.yml), and removes the per-repo claude.yml @claude mention handler where there was one.

Notes:

  • The review is skipped on this PR itself: the action only runs a workflow file that is identical on the default branch. It starts working on PRs opened after this one is merged.
  • Private repos need a repo-level CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN secret, because the org secret is not shared with private repos on the Free plan.
  • Add the deep-review label to a PR to get the review from Opus instead of Sonnet.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Added an automated review workflow that runs when a pull request is opened, updated, marked ready for review, reopened, or labeled. This adds automated checks to several stages of the pull-request lifecycle; no user-facing product changes are included.

Adds a GitHub Actions workflow that invokes the reusable Claude review workflow when a pull request is opened, synchronized, marked ready for review, reopened, or labeled. The workflow grants the specified repository, pull request, issue, check, and OIDC permissions. It passes the Claude OAuth token secret to the reusable workflow.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Change: Other

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to a5f61

Central workflow updates can change PR review behavior without a change here. Confirm the shared branch’s protections; the available evidence does not show a merge-blocking failure.

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to a5f61

The change adds privileged review automation whose implementation can change centrally without another revision in this repository. Explicit permissions and secret mapping limit exposure, but the shared workflow’s credential handling and update protections are not established. No unauthorized access path was demonstrated.

Retained concerns

  • Low · security · observed: The new caller delegates an OAuth credential and bounded write authority to a shared workflow on mutable main. Changes in that shared repository can alter how existing authority is exercised without a caller revision. This introduces reliance on the central repository’s update controls; compromise or unauthorized modification of those controls is not demonstrated.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The demonstrated delegated capabilities concern this repository’s pull requests and issues, plus the explicitly supplied credential and OIDC token-request capability where available. The credential’s downstream scope and any accepting OIDC identity policy are unknown; organization-wide or cloud-account access is not established.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — The retained finding concerns mutable privileged workflow selection. An actor able to alter the referenced central workflow could change how delegated permissions and the credential are used in subsequent runs. The supplied assessment rates reachability internal and severity low; no unprivileged route to modify the central workflow or demonstrated credential-exfiltration path is established.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • inferred — The caller establishes a trust relationship with central workflow maintainers while limiting delegated permissions and explicitly selecting the supplied secret. The pull_request trigger provides the standard fork-origin restriction rather than target-context execution, but effective repository settings, callee authorization, and central branch protection are not verified.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — Several event types can initiate repeated runs, and the complete caller contains no concurrency or recovery declaration. Serialization, idempotency, cleanup, and handling of partial or superseded writes remain unverified because the callee implementation is unavailable; no resulting security failure is established.

Pin the reusable workflow to a commit SHA or protected tag.

The caller resolves bugsee/.github/.github/workflows/claude-review.yml through the mutable main ref. It grants the called workflow pull-requests: write, issues: write, and id-token: write, and passes CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN. A commit SHA or protected tag prevents an unauthorized or faulty ref update from changing code that runs with these privileges. If automatic updates are required, protect main in bugsee/.github.
