Consent withdrawal: finished reports waiting for upload cannot be deleted from JS; iOS deleteCollectedDataOnDevice resolves false after 1.5 s #142
Found while documenting the 7.x beta (docs PR bugsee/docs#110). Checked against the source on main at 7.0.0-beta3; file:line references are to the SDK repo unless a repo is named. Not reproduced on a device unless a line says so.
Both native SDKs can delete finished reports that are waiting for upload (Android: the 3-argument deleteCollectedDataOnDevice; iOS: deleteCollectedDataOnDevice: with a flag), but the wrapper exposes only the variant that keeps them. After a user withdraws consent those reports are still uploaded.
While the SDK is stopped, iOS deleteCollectedDataOnDevice waits at most 1.5 s (BGSRNSettleOnce.m:5) and then resolves false, though the deletion may still finish afterwards: the resolution says "failed" for something that may have succeeded.
The call is refused while the SDK is launched (resolves false on both platforms), so the app has to stop() first; whether crashes not yet reported are also deleted on iOS is not shown by the exposed variant.
Suggested direction
Expose the "also delete finished reports" variant (a boolean option) and resolve with the real outcome instead of a timeout.
