I'm an MSc Bioinformatics student at the University of Edinburgh, currently based at the Roslin Institute, where my dissertation uses long-read assembly and pangenome graphs to map a recessive infertility variant in Whitebred Shorthorn cattle.
Most of my work sits at the point where genomics meets the command line: de novo assembly, structural variant genotyping, single-cell and bulk RNA-seq, and pipelines that other people can rerun without emailing me first. Python, R, and Linux.
