Here you will find a Notebook I created. It might be a little too basic for you, but it's probably worthwhile to go through the basics a bit as a warm up.

Then, you might want to look at these videos

You don't need to read them to the core. They are just to get the general idea. As time goes by, you'll revisit them and get acquinted with the ideas a little better. Perhaps the Erwan's presentation, the first paper and a bit through the rest to get a general idea of applications).

The main questions you should be abe to understand and answer are:

a) What's the motivation in using Scattering Transforms?

b) How can they be used in order to generate new maps?

c) How can they be used in order to seperate components in a situation where I have data d = s + c.
