Litematica Editor

A 3D desktop application for editing Minecraft .litematic files directly on your PC.
Built with Tauri 2 + React + Three.js.

Features

File Operations

  • Open / Save / Save As for .litematic files
  • New file creation (name, author, size, MC version)
  • File name and version info always visible in the toolbar

3D Viewport

  • Chunk-based 3D block rendering via Three.js
  • Resource pack (ZIP) support to override block textures
  • Entity and block entity rendering (signs, item frames, etc.)
  • Schematic bounding box displayed as a cyan wireframe
  • Hover highlight for the block under the cursor

Camera Controls

Selection System

  • Left click to set P1 (red), Ctrl + click to set P2 (blue)
  • Floor raycast — place selection points on the ground even where no block exists
  • 3D wireframe markers (red for P1, blue for P2) with focus fill overlay
  • Scroll wheel moves the focused point along the camera-forward axis (supports all 3 axes including Y)
  • Arrow keys / PgUp / PgDn to move or expand the selection; Shift for ×5 step
  • Ctrl + Arrow keys to translate the entire selection
  • Esc to clear the selection

Block Editing

Operation Description
Fill Fills the selection with a chosen block
Replace Replaces one block type with another across the selection
Delete Replaces blocks in the selection with Air (optional block filter)
  • Middle click on a block to pick it up into the active slot
  • Click a block slot in the sidebar to switch the active slot

Undo / Redo

  • Ctrl+Z to undo, Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo
  • Up to 50 steps retained

Keybinding Customization

Click the ⌨ button in the toolbar to remap any shortcut. Settings are persisted in localStorage.

NBT Viewer / Container Editor

  • Click any block to view its tile entity NBT data in a tree view
  • Edit items inside containers (chests, barrels, etc.) in a slot-based UI

Version Management

  • Change the Litematica version and MC data version from the toolbar
  • Run a compatibility check in the Version panel to detect blocks unavailable in the target version
    • Each incompatible block can be individually deleted or replaced

Localization

  • Switch between English and Japanese instantly via the toolbar selector

Requirements

  • Windows 10 / 11 (x64)
  • WebView2 runtime (pre-installed on Windows 11)

Installation

Download the latest .msi or *-setup.exe from the Releases page and run it.


Development Setup

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Start dev server
npm run tauri dev

# Build installer
npm run tauri build
