The /languages/ table's Language column reads the hand-curated language_notes.yml with a bare-code Liquid fallback, so the growth wave that pushed okhc's Korean lane (1.48M passages) and the classical-modern corpus's Mandarin half (972k) into the top-16 rendered 'ko | ko' and 'cmn | cmn' — an era-bound hand file drifting behind a live SSOT list, papered over by the designed fallback. The two notes land, and the notes file's own stated covenant (cover every code that can enter top_languages) is now suite-guarded: total coverage, real 'Name — gloss' lines, never a code echo.
…ed and pinned The ko/cmn class, hunted across the whole site: languages.md cited '803 Wiktionary etymology codes' (live: 1,131 — now a census SSOT field, etym_codes) and 'the five StarLing bases'; library.md carried the same five-bases phrase plus the 27,397-entry total; sources.md still described StarLing as six databases/28,707 entries and the recon row as seven dictionaries + three Celtic extracts. All restated from the live catalog: fifteen StarLing bases / 46,650 entries with the September wave named, the recon row's zho/ojp/ett/xum extracts and the 323,839-entry Chinese lexicon, the oracc glossary lane (340 glossaries / 211,040 entries), and the DCLP lane (2,245 documents) on the papyri row. Every retired literal joins STALE_LITERALS in the prose guard, so each can never silently return.

Guard verified red on the live defect before the data fix; site guards + rubocop green.
