camera example CameraDisplay - does not work with current sources. #698
display_dev = DEVICE_DT_GET(DISPLAY_NODE);
if (!device_is_ready(display_dev)) {
if (zephyr::arduino::init_dev_apply_pinctrl(display_dev) < 0) {
fatal_error("Display not ready");
}
}
And it did not error, but camera image did not show up on screen.
Note: my own camera to display app that uses Arduino_GigaDisplay_GFX is working with current sources.
But was curious, but wondered if changes to DMA #... might have impacted the speed... Investigating.
Hi @kurt, thanks for the heads-up! You're right that we need to apply the same changes from Arduino_Video. However, we're actually planning to move this example over to the Arduino_GigaDisplay library instead, as it seems like a better fit there.
@pennam@iabdalkader - Actually not sure where the best fit would be. That is obviously up to all of you with Arduino...
As for Arduino_GigaDisplay library - there are examples up there, including camera display, but that one is specific for Arducam and MBED setup...
Wondering if it would be better fit with Arduino_Video library and if so, would it make more sense to simplify the setup, and not rely reading stuff from the device tree and the like... Note: I personally appreciate the low level stuff in the example.
