Run executables

I tried various ways but couldn't achieve it.
There are appimages or scripts I use which have chmod+x.
My goal is this, prompt_open() shell check if file is executable.
If it is, it will run. Else, xdg-open will open it. But no success so far.
Do you have any idea how to do it? Or is it even possible?

Never mind, I made it work doing like this;

I'm glad you got it to work. I would also like to make this a feature of DFM, by adding a command-line flag. The reason I think this shouldn't be the default behaviour is: Sometimes, you may not want to execute a file. For example, if it's a shell script you may want to open it in an editor. So I think I should add an option -e or --exec which executes the file if it's executable, otherwise it opens it. I'll probably do this after my exams. Or, if you're willing, you can send me a pull request and I'll accept it.

Actually, I think this should be default behavior. Since your script is a file manager, and other file managers run executables when you double click or hit return, --no-exec should be an option. --exec should remain as default. But that's my opinion, script is yours. You can do whatever you want.
