Recording deformities (congential abnormalities)

Many dairy organisations (especially in Scandinavia) must report deformities when reporting a parturition event. Currently, ADE covers the health status, but not deformities in particular. The topic is quite complex, since it would need to perhaps include breed-specific genetic defects and so on. We would like to discuss with the ADE WG, what approaches could make sense for most organisations and also what the list of enums should look like to make sense from the breeding perspective.

Suggestion: A couple of countries actually only need a YES/NO on abnormalities, and others need a list. We suggest boolean hasCongenitalAbnormality (deformity is not a suitable term IMO, the suggested one includes visible malformations and functional problems and is broader than genetic defects), and then an optional enum array. Add a new property with a list of enums under Progeny Details Since Parturition can be used to report multiple calves I assumed this would be the better place to put it?

Suggestion for the enums, perhaps we can also shorten them and add an extended reasons option:

In Finland abnormality is not required, but we would be happy to have a way to receive this data also. The way we save abnormalities is twofold, we have one code for the seriousness (no abnormality/unknown, slightly abnormal, deformed but viable, deformed and inviable) and another for the part of the calf that is abnormal (unknown, general, head, body, feet, nerves, digestive system, genitals, inner organs). I think we could work with the suggested enum or something like it for the part of the calf, but would probably need another field for the seriousness.
