Hi, I'm one of the maintainers of donkeycar. I want to let you know that we now natively support differential drive configurations using the L298N and PCA9685 after a did a fairly major rewrite of the actuators. You can see the documentation here https://docs.donkeycar.com/parts/actuators/#3-pin-hbridge-differential-drive .
This came to my attention because a user posted in our discord discussion group; he was trying to integrate the Diff_PCA9685 part into donkeycar 4.4.0 and was having trouble on the Jetson Nano. see the discussion here https://discord.com/channels/662098530411741184/671604367706554388/1053460933013422203
There should be no need for anyone to edit the code to support this configuration if the use donkeycar 4.4.0
