Switch frontend CI install to npm install for Node 14 lockfile compatibility, update failing chatbot spec fixtures to satisfy ChatQueryAnswer typing, and skip Playwright browser downloads during Dockerfile.dev dependency install to avoid flaky image builds. Add src path mapping for e2e Jest config, mock markdown/editor ESM deps in frontend Jest setup, and update the frontend app smoke test assertion. Tests pass successfully but Jest hangs waiting for MongoDB/Redis connections to close. --forceExit forces Jest to exit immediately after tests complete, preventing 5+ hour CI timeouts. As per Jest docs: This is an escape-hatch when external resources cannot be adequately cleaned up. Proper fix would require lifecycle management in MongoModule/RedisModule, which is out of scope.
