GitHub stats not loading – “Please wait for images to load” message does not work

🐞 Issue: GitHub Stats Not Loading Properly

Description

In the “Flex your GitHub Stats” component, GitHub stats do not load properly. After multiple attempts, it displays a “GitHub API issue” message.

Interestingly, when the theme color is changed from dark to another color, the stats load correctly. However, the message:

“please wait for images to load after changing any values”

does not resolve the issue when changing other settings.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the “Flex your GitHub Stats” component
2. Keep the theme set to dark
3. Change any values (username, layout, options, etc.)
4. Wait for images to load
5. GitHub stats do not appear and an API issue message is shown

Expected Behavior

GitHub stats should load correctly after changing any values, as suggested by the message.

Actual Behavior

Stats fail to load and show a GitHub API issue unless the theme color is changed from dark to another option.

Additional Notes

• Issue occurs after multiple retries
• Changing only the theme color temporarily fixes the problem
• The “please wait for images to load” message appears to be ineffective
