The id-remover is usefull when you download some pdf and they get extra characters after the extension. This program remove these characters for every pdf in your current directory.
Simply make then make clean in the directory. It creates the mid_remover executable file.
Moove to the concerned repository and ./mid_remover.
Make sure the program is in your PATH
