Pounce has no custom backend and does not include analytics or telemetry. Browser data used for Pounce's built-in results is processed locally. Chrome may sync saved URLs and preferences through Chrome Sync; when you explicitly run a web search, Chrome sends the query to your configured search provider; and Chrome may retrieve favicons according to browser behavior. See the hosted Privacy Policy for details.

Pounce is conservatively maintained to stay fast, private, and focused. Bug fixes and well-scoped improvements are welcome. Use Issues for reproducible problems or concrete proposals, and Discussions for early design questions.
See CONTRIBUTING.md for local setup, tests, project conventions, and pull request expectations. Good places to start include issues labeled good first issue and help wanted.
Current improvement areas include accessibility, automated test coverage, localization quality, and compatibility across Chromium-based browsers. These are direction areas rather than promised release dates.
Please report vulnerabilities privately by following SECURITY.md. Do not disclose security issues in public Issues or Discussions.
