GMEdit

GMEdit is a code editor that serves as an alternative for Game Maker's builtin editor. It's recommended for the numerous quality of life it provides, especially in the case of Game Maker 8.2. This includes JSDoc tags, named arguments, and more. Due to GMEdit's limited support, you should still keep GM8.2's IDE open on the side. More information about GMEdit can be found here.

At the time of writing, GMEdit's latest release does not support GM8.2 out of the box. To rectify this:

1. Download and extract GMEdit
2. Download this archive
3. Extract the archive over your download of GMEdit
4. Open GMEdit
5. Click on the menu button next to "Recent projects"
6. Click open
7. Set the file type to "All files", and then click on your .gm82 file
