Cestus can now turn approved document passages into cited, unreviewed ontology proposals and let an investigator curate shared knowledge across cases. Cases reuse evidence and entity identities; review, corrections, identity reassignment, vocabulary changes, and source history persist across restart.

The change adds versioned knowledge events and atomic ledger decisions, shared entity/relationship/occurrence views, additive vocabulary review, and grounded interpretation of written dates. Existing v1 evidence and knowledge remain readable. Manual curation works without a configured provider.

Document analysis supports the explicitly selected ChatGPT subscription through isolated official Codex CLI 0.153.4 with exactly gpt-6-astra, alongside the existing API transport. Exact-transfer approval, current governance/schema checks, source validation, and durable outcomes apply before output can become reviewed knowledge. There is no silent model or API-billing fallback. Subscription quotas apply; keyring-only authentication is not supported by this adapter.

Validation:

  • Final local npm run verify: 4,188 tests passed, five skipped; typecheck, assurance checks, and production build passed.
  • Browser acceptance exercised review, vocabulary/date correction, cross-case identity controls, citations, restart recovery, and narrow layouts.
  • One authorized live subscription run over seven passages from a copied public legacy notice returned 13 cited proposals: ten accepted and three rejected during review. The reviewer corrected the solicitation identity and added the omitted grounded notice date. The private derived briefing stayed local. Originals, credentials, and private trial artifacts are outside Git.
  • Pre-publication review confirmed the six final reviewed source hashes, and git diff --check passes. The final commit only normalizes saved test-log whitespace.

Scope and remaining validation: this delivers the Phase 3 foundation, with a successful bounded live trial. Real multi-case relationships/occurrences still need the small opening integration checkpoint for Phase 4; broader model quality, scanned-document coverage, and live quota/auth-refresh behavior remain unverified. Automatic pattern discovery and evidence pursuit belong to Phases 4 and 5.

Persist cases, schema snapshots, typed knowledge and explicit identity bindings. Reuse approved provider transport and source validation; preserve v1 provenance and current governance in compatibility views.
Add manual and provider proposal review, cross-case dossiers, identity repair and source lineage controls. Document built-browser synthetic acceptance and keep real-record and live-provider checks explicitly pending.
Persist immutable additive schema revisions and bind provider extraction to the reviewed snapshot. Normalize bounded written dates with exact citation provenance while preserving historical correction authority and strict new acceptance.
Add explicit schema preview and approval, proposal revision, and source/date interpretation controls. Preserve boolean attribute types and wrap the measured occurrence overflow. Document built production browser checks, synthetic provider limits and final verification.
Use the official Codex interface with exact Astra, immutable catalog and disclosure qualification, explicit quota limits, and no API fallback. Preserve existing schema, citation, governance and durable review paths.
Document supported sign-in and quota behavior, real account metadata checks, synthetic production-browser review and restart evidence, and pending legacy-record/live-model acceptance.
Map flagged rationale text consistently across evidence and governance history DTOs while preserving raw credential rejection and append-only decisions.
Record the real approved subscription run, human review, vocabulary and date corrections, restart recovery and remaining evaluation limits. Keep source artifacts and credentials outside Git.
