Welcome to the SonicWorldsNext wiki!
The purpose of this wiki is to provide less technical, higher level documentation on how to perform common tasks with the Sonic Worlds Next framework as well as to provide some technical documentation on parts of the engine that aren't easily commented in code.
Before using this framework, please be aware that the framework in use is of above average level complexity for a Godot project. We highly encourage you to familiarize yourself with how to use Godot at a beginner level before opening discussions in the forum about how to do things. There are excellent beginner level resources for Godot that exist on Youtube and other video hosting platforms as well as websites such as GDQuest. The maintainers of Godot also provide excellent documentation specific to the default classes and objects of every version of the engine.
Additionally, you can review detailed information on internal properties and methods introduced by the framework itself. (Note: In-editor documentation for framework-specific features is currently in progress and coming soon.)
This wiki is currently very incomplete and people are encouraged to explore the engine themselves rather than to rely entirely on the documentation here. Please be aware that this wiki is updated by volunteers and may not always be up to date with the current development version of the engine. Anyone without wiki editing access are encouraged to make threads on the discussion boards if they find gaps in that mission such as out of date documentation and parts of documentation that they feel are lacking.
Current framework version targeted by the wiki: 4.3-release
