Problem

While a new email domain verifies, the domain setup shows only the DNS records and a wait. A person has nothing to do there, although they could already set up the workflows that will send from that domain.

This is a slice of "send once verified" (Silthus/personal#197), stacked on #620.

  • Changes only the flagged email domain setup, plus one analytics property on the workflow suggestion cards.
  • The worst case is a misplaced card or a collapsed records list. No save path, no backend change, no migration.
  • This PR lands together with the slices below it in one merge-queue batch.

Changes

  • Workflow choices while verifying. The verifying step shows the same first-workflow choices as the ready step: suggestions from the project's data, templates, and a blank workflow.
  • DNS records collapse. On the verifying and ready steps, the DNS records sit in one collapsible panel. It opens by itself when a record needs attention.
  • The "While you wait" card from the slice below becomes a plain section around the choices, so no card sits inside another card.
  • Placement. Suggestion clicks capture placement (verifying or ready), so the two entry points can be compared.
  • Mechanical: SendOnceVerifiedCard is renamed SendOnceVerifiedChoices; FirstWorkflowChoices takes a placement prop.

Before this slice, the verifying step showed the "While you wait" card from the slice below without choices. Taken on a seeded preview of the stack top, with the domain status answered in the browser because the local stack has no SES. The walk log is in proof storage.

Production lines: 277 (+184 −93) against the base branch, by git diff --numstat. Tests and stories are excluded.

Together with the slices below, replaces PostHog#123661.

How did you test this code?

  • Lane gate on HEAD: frontend typecheck clean, every Jest suite under products/workflows/frontend passed, oxlint and oxfmt clean on the changed files, and the pre-push hogli ci:preflight --strict hook passed.
  • Red → green: each new case failed on the base branch and passes on HEAD.

Test rationale:

  • EmailDomainScene.test.tsx: the verifying step shows the workflow choices; the DNS records stay collapsed until the person opens them; suggestions loaded while DNS is checked replace the template on the verifying and ready steps, and their events carry the placement.
  • workflowDataSuggestionsLogic.test.ts: a suggestion opens its saved draft from each surface and placement, and the click event carries both, extended from the existing case.

Test seams: the EmailDomainScene render test against FakeEmailDomainBackend; workflowDataSuggestionsLogic against mocked suggestion and HogFlow APIs.

CI Gap: fork CI cannot run. The lane gate ran locally and on the leased box. Fork checks are red as on #614: Semgrep cannot run without the fork secret, and the lane check diffs against master, so it counts slices lower in the stack.

  • This change is behind a feature flag and is not available to users

The domain setup needs workflows-email-domain-wizard. The placement property also reaches the setup guide's suggestion cards, with no visible change.

The wizard page's wait for DNS shows the first workflow choices, AI
suggestions included, so a person can build a workflow that starts
sending once the domain is verified. The DNS records collapse into one
summary line on the verifying and ready steps, and open when a record
needs attention. Suggestion events and data-attrs say which step showed
them. The choices are no longer nested in another card.
Ported from PostHog#123661 with its tests.

What the toolbar ships to customer pages, measured from the esbuild output (minified, post-tree-shake). The eager set is the entry plus everything statically imported from it — fetched before any feature runs; deferred chunks load lazily. The eager guardrail is 5.72 MiB. Each output file must also stay below 10 MB, where CloudFront stops compressing it. The module boundary is enforced separately by check-toolbar-graph.
