Maintaining Extension Branches

If you intend to maintain a separate branch for an extension in this repository, please prefix your maintenance branch as extension/newt/<extension-name>.

This naming convention helps distinguish maintenance branches from the upstream branch.

These branch naming conventions are recommended for consistency across community-maintained extensions.

Backports

If you intend to maintain a backport of an extension targeting a different version of Lorekeeper than the upstream branch, please prefix your maintenance branch as extension/<version>/newt/<extension-name>.

This naming convention helps distinguish backports from the primary extension and allows users to identify compatibility targets more easily.

Important

Backport maintainers are requested, where practical, to submit pull requests for any general improvements, bug fixes, security fixes, performance improvements, or documentation changes that are applicable to the upstream branch. Doing so reduces duplicated effort and benefits users across all supported versions.

Changes that exist solely to maintain compatibility with a different version of Lorekeeper are not expected to be submitted upstream.

All extensions within this repository are licensed under the MIT License, alongside the following attribution clause:

If any extension within this repository is installed, enabled, or made available in a public deployment, the application must display attribution to "ScuffedNewt" and the "Extension Name" in a publicly accessible credits, acknowledgements, or about page.

For Lorekeeper, sufficient attribution is provided by the "info/credits" page, which lists all installed extensions and their authors. Please ensure that this page is accessible to your users.

Note that the attribution clause must be followed even if the extension is modified.

Care has been taken to add automated attribution to all extensions in this repository. However, if you are using an extension from this repository and the attribution is not automatically added, please ensure that you add it manually.
