The reusable Repository Standards workflow fails during workflow parsing for downstream callers: its nested Markdown Links reference resolves to a missing workflow before any jobs start. Use the explicit SchmiedmayerLab/.github/.github/workflows/markdown-links.yml@v0.5 call, matching the existing tagged reuse and actionlint calls, while retaining the optional Globalping host passthrough.

Validation: actionlint, 16 Markdown-link unit tests, REUSE lint (70/70 files), and git diff --check pass locally. The observed downstream failure is PaperTemplate's main run. Existing version tags are preserved; this PR does not move or publish any tag.

The first public release is archived on Zenodo, but the README and
source citation did not expose its DOI or REUSE registration. Add the
project DOI `10.5281/zenodo.23361126` consistently to the README badge
and citation, `CITATION.cff`, the durable BibTeX source, and the
illustrative layout demo. Keep the generic manuscript DOI field empty so
new papers do not inherit the template DOI. Regenerate the bibliography
and preview assets from their sources.

Explain that the project DOI covers all releases and retain concise
template acknowledgment guidance, without a release-specific README
section to maintain. Add the live REUSE badge and remove the
private-repository exception that skipped workflow URL validation.

The public-repository audit found that shared standards release
`v0.5.18` contains an invalid nested Markdown Links workflow reference.
That issue is addressed in
[SchmiedmayerLab/.github#42](SchmiedmayerLab/.github#42).
This PR preserves the normal `@v0.5` dependency. The shared fix has been
merged and released. Required check names, permissions, and all
version-tag conventions are unchanged.

Validation:
- 47 tests passed; draft checks have 0 errors and 24 intentional starter
warnings.
- Main manuscript, layout demo, and documentation snapshots rebuilt;
changed PDF pages visually inspected.
- Isolated arXiv rebuild and rendered-page comparison passed (25 files).
- Bibliography synchronization, actionlint, diff checks, and all public
links passed.
- Local REUSE lint passed for all 122 files; the registered REUSE
service also reports compliance.

Repository audit: the active main ruleset requires all seven expected
checks, an approval, resolved conversations, signed commits, and linear
history; squash merge is enabled. Secret scanning, push protection,
dependency security updates, and CodeQL are enabled. Existing
approval/bypass settings were inspected without modification. CodeQL's
four mutable-tag warnings remain under the requested version-tag policy.
No release tag, archived Zenodo record, manuscript decision log, or
downstream paper repository is changed by this PR.
