template

Easily create and use template files. Conveniently opens in Vim (forcibly, for now)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository into /usr/local/bin/ with sudo git clone https://github.com/Ritesh-Sivanathan/template.git
  2. Add source /usr/local/bin/template/template.sh to your .bashrc

Usage

template {filename.ext} {optional: template}

You must specify the extension of the file to be created. This extension will be matched with the template name you chose (do not include the extension in the template parameter)

Example Usage

template Ch3SecD.tex LADRProblems

This will create a file called `Ch3SecD.tex$ in the directory the tool is called in and open the file in Vim (the exact behaviour after the template is used is trivial enough to configure yourself in the script. I will make it more dynamic with flags and user defaults in the future, so don't worry.)

Available Templates

There are two sample templates in the /templates directory.
