Add fully-funded proposal cards to feed and activity - #1226
Codex usage limits have been reached for code reviews. Please check with the admins of this repo to increase the limits by adding credits.
Credits must be used to enable repository wide code reviews.
The feed now transforms FUNDRAISE entries and displays them as completed-funding items. Activity displays also recognize fully funded proposals, show funding details, and link the activity to proposal work.
Changes: FUNDRAISE feed support
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Content contract and transformation types/feed.ts
Adds the FUNDRAISE content shape and maps it to proposal_fully_funded and preregistration. The transformer normalizes status, amounts, proposal details, and hub data.
Routes FUNDRAISE entries to a new feed item, using a preregistration URL when postId is available. The item displays funding status, author, optional nonprofit, and raised and goal totals.
Activity utilities identify fully funded proposals, select an actor and amount, and generate activity text and icons. Activity work and compact cards display proposal details and funding amounts. The funding-group condition retains its existing result.

ResearchHub/web#1271: Adds award fundraises without funding goals and labels completed awards as awarded, relating to this PR's completed-fundraise handling.
Merge Risk: Moderate · up to 41a6d
Votes or reports on a fully funded proposal card could target the wrong post, and some fully funded activity entries may not appear in the sidebar. Fix both before merging.
Security architecture risk: Moderate · up to 41a6d
The funding card uses the proposal identifier for navigation but passes the fundraise identifier to shared voting and reporting actions. When those identifiers differ, actions may target unrelated content. Sign-in controls remain, but prior exposure and server-side behavior are not fully established.
Retained concerns
Medium · security · inferred: The dedicated FUNDRAISE card connects a contract with separate fundraise and proposal identifiers to actions that assume content.id identifies a document. Navigation uses postId, but voting and reporting use content.id as a post identifier. If the identifiers differ, requests can affect another post or fail instead of acting on the displayed proposal. Equivalent base exposure and successful server-side impact remain unresolved; an authorization bypass is not established.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The identified integrity risk concerns document actions from displayed FUNDRAISE cards. A signed-in viewer may act on a post sharing the numeric fundraise identifier rather than the linked proposal. Evidence does not establish attacker-selected identifiers, cross-tenant access, additional privileges, or infrastructure exposure.
Security Findings and Attack Paths
observed — The main-feed vote path forwards content.id as the documentId for a non-comment vote. Reporting likewise falls back to post content and uses that identifier. In contrast, the FUNDRAISE activity work builder explicitly identifies the work with postId. This confirms inconsistent client-side identity handling, but not a successful exploit or backend authorization failure.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — Voting and reporting retain authenticated-action gates, and the vote hook independently requires a user. These controls constrain who initiates actions but do not reconcile the fundraise identifier with the proposal identifier.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — The existing vote transition guards against in-progress repetition, restores optimistic vote state on errors, and resets its progress flag in finally. Those recovery controls do not detect or undo a successful request against the wrong resource.
Hardening Proposals
proposed — Resolve a single proposal action target from postId before entering shared voting and reporting flows, preserving fundraise and feed-entry identifiers for their separate purposes. Disable document actions when no proposal target exists.

Handle fundraises without titled related work.
If a FUNDRAISE entry has no titled relatedWork, getEntryMeta ignores its proposal title and ActivityCardCompact renders nothing. Use the proposal fields for this fallback.

Use the proposal ID for completed-fundraise actions.
When content.id differs from postId, votes and reports can target another post or fail. Use postId for these actions. Disable them when the proposal ID is unavailable.
