Double-click the database-manager icon on your desktop or in your Start menu.
Click "Add Files" and select one or multiple Excel, CSV, TXT, or vCard files from your computer. You can add files one by one or select them all at once.
Select whether your data contains contacts, products, students, or custom data. The app will automatically adjust its columns accordingly.
Click "Merge" to combine all your files. Review the results in the preview window. Look for duplicate highlights (marked in yellow) and verify the source tracking column.
Click "Save" to export your merged database as a single Excel file. Choose a location on your computer and give your file a name.
Working with custom data? No problem! database-manager lets you define your own column structure:
- Click "Custom Schema" in the setup screen
- Add column names (e.g., CustomerID, OrderDate, TotalAmount)
- Map your files' columns to the new schema
- Merge with complete control
- Clean your files first: Remove unnecessary headers or repeated data before merging
- Use consistent formatting: Ensure dates, numbers, and text are formatted the same way across files
- Review duplicates carefully: Some duplicates may be intentional (e.g., customers with multiple orders)
