… user would With capture timing fixed and hints off, VoiceOver still spoke nothing after the spinner story's buttons were clicked from the page: Guidepup reported the arrival phrase again. The one public run that captured a polite status with VoiceOver on macos-26 (Praxity/learning-patterns#11) pressed the button with VO-Space inside the capture. Lane gains press(): NVDA clicks from the page through change(), as before; VoiceOver moves its cursor to the focused button and presses VO-Space, so Guidepup polls right after the press. The spinner test now presses Load and Finish.

Adds a GitHub-hosted macOS 26 VoiceOver evidence job using pinned Guidepup setup 0.29.1, Guidepup 0.35.0 and Playwright 1.63.0 WebKit. A heading, named button, polite live region and native typing control must pass before the eight standard demo patterns run in English and French. The branch includes main's removal of formats and current inline span buttons for highlight.
The job runs on manual dispatch or PR changes to its workflow, config or test folder. It leaves the existing CI, browser config and demo builder unchanged. Artifacts record speech, cursor text, focus, status mutations and screenshots. Pattern findings do not fail the job and need human judgment. This covers Playwright WebKit rather than installed Safari; captured text cannot establish French pronunciation or detect every identical repeated announcement.
Validation: JavaScript syntax checks and discovery of all 17 VoiceOver tests passed. The hosted positive control passed, including native typing, in run 37836587114. Journey collection and standard CI are running. Pattern verdicts require review of the uploaded evidence.
