What changed

  • Add bounded postcondition readback after Windows UIA Invoke so delayed WPF accessibility updates can verify without re-dispatching the action.
  • Strengthen the fixture to independently record exactly one submission and check decoy and disabled controls.
  • Add a Windows-safe Node launcher and validate the packaged stdio configuration.
  • Negotiate the MCP handshake versions Codex and other clients use, including 2025-06-18; previously Comptrol rejected that version with protocol_version_unsupported, so Codex omitted every Comptrol tool from its task catalog.
  • Keep the Codex plugin manifest and portable MCP package metadata aligned.

Verification

  • cargo test --release --locked -p comptrol: 106 unit tests and 1 browser bridge integration test passed.
  • scripts/windows_uia_conformance.py: verified UIA press; fixture recorded one submission, no decoy or disabled control activation.
  • scripts/npm_mcp_conformance.py: verified the 2025-06-18 handshake, all seven tools, and system ping.
  • Cloned the branch from GitHub and repeated the build, tests, launcher handshake, and UIA fixture checks from that clean checkout.
  • A fresh Codex CLI task initialized both configured Comptrol connections at protocol 2025-06-18 and listed Comptrol tools.
