Problem

App analytics stays on an older defaults snapshot when the SDK updates. The request is to adopt new SDK defaults automatically.

Changes

The app follows defaults in its loaded SDK instead of a fixed date.
The SDK dependency updates to 1.439.0, which includes support for latest.

- defaults: SDK_DEFAULTS_DATE,
+ defaults: 'latest',
+ cookieWinsOnConflict: false,

Note

Cookie reconciliation remains disabled to preserve anonymous flag continuity and group persistence in the app's startup flow.
Removing this override fails three existing startup tests with SDK 1.439.0. An SDK fix must precede enabling it here.

Customer onboarding snippets keep their existing date. Other explicit app options stay unchanged. No visual changes.
The lockfile changes are mechanical SDK and transitive dependency updates.

How did you test this code?

Test rationale: Existing real-SDK tests cover login, reload, project switches, and duplicate flag requests. No tests or assertions changed.

Local checks: frontend typecheck, both loadPostHogJS suites, pnpm --filter=@posthog/frontend fix, preflight, and autoreview. Browser validation was not run.

CI checks cover the pushed update. The earlier Semgrep failure was a Docker Hub 503 before scanning.

No feature flag controls this change

Docs update

No existing scoped document covers the app's own defaults selection. Customer documentation remains unchanged.

The eager set is the entry plus everything statically imported from it — fetched before any feature runs; deferred chunks load lazily. The eager guardrail is 5.72 MiB. Each output file must also stay below 10 MB, where CloudFront stops compressing it. The module boundary is enforced separately by check-toolbar-graph.

This increment pins the app's analytics SDK behavior: it bumps posthog-js to 1.439.0 (which adds local, non-remote resolution of defaults: 'latest') and explicitly sets cookieWinsOnConflict: false, preserving the pre-PR behavior that defaults: 'latest' alone would have flipped to true. No security-relevant change: the cookie-identity-merge path stays disabled and the SDK bump contains no new network, parsing, or storage behavior.
