Problem
React Native apps can't get the session replay fix in posthog-ios 3.92.7 (PostHog/posthog-ios#967). The plugin pins posthog-ios to
3.88.2, which resolves to< 3.89.0on both CocoaPods (~> 3.88.2) and SPM (upToNextMinor).In screenshot mode with nothing masked, posthog-ios encoded every frame at native scale (9x the pixels on a 3x device). The encode queue fell behind capture, and replays arrived minutes late. An RN user reported this on PostHog/posthog-ios#958 with
@posthog/react-native-plugin2.12.6.Changes
ios/Package.swift.@posthog/react-native-plugin.posthog-ios 3.92.7 keeps the same deployment targets as 3.88.2 (iOS 13, macOS 10.15) and is on CocoaPods trunk. JS APIs and Android are unchanged.
Related: #5449 also edits the podspec's posthog-ios resolution. Whichever lands second will need a rebase.
