Performance: optimize CTA UUID lookups - #1323
Conversation
WalkthroughThe CTA repository UUID query now avoids result counting and term-cache updates while limiting results to one post. PHPUnit coverage verifies the returned CTA and the three-query cold lookup count. ChangesCTA UUID lookup
Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes Mergeability Score: ⚪ Minimal · up to The PR optimizes CTA UUID lookups while preserving returned results and adds regression coverage; reported validation is green. The remaining strict-types test-file follow-up is purely stylistic, so no actionable merge-blocking risk remains. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 5✅ Passed checks (5 passed)

Benchmark: 15 published CTAs with unique UUIDs, each lookup run cold after clearing the post and repository caches. Baseline and optimized modes ran in separate WP-CLI processes against the same local database.
Forcing WordPress out of its split-query path reduced the visible query count to two but made the lookup slower in the ablation, so this PR deliberately preserves WordPress's normal query strategy.
