Ever since I deleted Apple music for android I've wanted a music player which is actually open and I found pposs but a feature I miss is the Deltarune chapter 5 cover doing the glistening thing

I would like just a way for the gifs to be animated

That's mostly impossible at the file level, since none of these music formats are designed to embed GIFs they only allow PNGs and JPGs. In-app, I could build a feature that lets users attach their own GIF to a track, but that's hard both for me and for the process. On top of that, making it look like Apple Music (a near full-screen immersive view) usually ends up looking worse, because most GIFs are low quality.
