Update Zig, fix all the performance workarounds and enable the x86 backend and check if incremental works #1854
ziglang/zig#25154 was just merged, so in theory all of the performance problems from array copying on element access should now be fixed.
ziglang/zig#25299 was also just merged, which seems to make incremental now possible on linux
We should do this after the 0.0.0 release. It might also make sense to wait until after ziglang/zig#25301 to avoid having to implement our own deflate compressor.

ziglang/zig#25301 was merged 3 weeks ago. I think we can possibly upgrade to 0.15.1

Scratch that about 0.15.1. I'm not seeing that commit in the 0.15.x branch so it may be a 0.16 only addition.
I wonder if it's possible to backport that commit into 0.15.x for our purposes?
